Changes ahead for New Horizons services

Please note that New Horizons resource centres will be temporarily closed from April 1st – 15th April to prepare for these changes.

New Horizons is proud to announce key changes in service delivery and accommodation in Aberdare, Spring 2012.

Accommodation in Aberdare During spring 2012 the New Horizons’ Aberdare project and offices (currently based in Cardiff Street, Aberdare) will be moving to an alternative venue in Aberdare town centre. We have been based in Cardiff Street since 2007 however in these times of austerity we need to consider what is ‘best value’ for money and what will give us financial stability, in the longer term, as a charity. As a result we will be downsizing but more importantly remaining within Aberdare town centre. We are hoping to continue providing a range of services from our new base but the size may limit what will be on offer. The staff and trustees will keep everyone informed of progress with this move as and when available.

New service delivery
As from April 2012 there will be important changes to our services. New Horizons will be offering its service users an opportunity to develop their own Recovery Plan with appropriate support. The Recovery Plan will help our members to monitor their progress, target areas for development and to maintain an active control of their lives. It will also aid us to monitor our progress and to keep us at the cusp of excellence in providing quality support for our members. The Plan will also include details of what services our members can expect from New Horizons.
